Yokini Swimwear: Sexy & Flattering Swimsuits for many figure types

Finding figure flattering swimwear is as much an art as it is a science. To rule out some of the mystery in finding the perfect swimsuit for you I am dedicating a series of blog posts to do just that! This is always a popular topic this time of year and I want to make your search as effortless as possible. For each of the main figure types I want to highlight my top 5 recommendations to best enhance that figure so you feel confident, sexy and comfortable wherever your summer jaunts may take you.

But I have a surprise. This first post will be dedicated to a relatively new line of swimwear that I believe can flatter almost every figure and swimwear occasion. Why? It all boils down to the proprietary fabrication and design of the swimsuit bottom. I present to you ladies, Yokini swimwear convertible bikini bottom!

The vision behind Yokini Swimwear came from the idea that a more mature woman can still wear a sexy two piece swimsuit with confidence and style. The unique Yokini bottom enables a woman to adjust the fabric to fit her lower body like a glove. Any problem areas in the hips or tummy instantly disappear when multi- layers of control stretch fabric are concentrated directly on the area.

Sound too good to be true? It isn’t. I had the pleasure of sampling the line myself and I love it! I now have a bikini with a convertible bottom that I can wear so many ways depending on my mood or the occasion—all the way up so it looks like a one piece, at the waist for a retro look, as a banded bottom so it looks like your regular bikini and (really cool!) like a skirt so it also acts as an instant cover up.

Regardless of how you choose to wear it, it is extremely figure flattering and comfortable because the fabric is breathable and very stretchy. If you are bottom heavy you can wear it as a skirted bikini to minimize your hips and thighs. If you have a tummy, you can wear it retro style and swim with confidence. If you are curvy, you can wear it as a low rise banded bikini for maximum sex appeal. If you have a more boyish shape, you can wear it like a sexy one piece or sportier style.

Convertible swimwear is not new. But what is new here is that the bottom really can be molded various ways on your body for a completely different look. And the idea that this can go dramatically from a one piece look to a skirted one is very innovative.

Inspired by yoga wear, the Yokini bikini is designed so every woman can start feeling sexy, confident and stylish in a bathing suit. Flaunt It on the beach, the pool or on the volley ball court!

Yokini Swimwear was designed so every woman can start feeling sexy, confident and sporty on the beach.

Don’t we ALL want to feel sexy and confident on the beach?!?!?! Thank you, Yokini, for coming up with a suit that does just that!

See all those cute suits in the picture? One suite can be worn 5 different ways for 5 different looks. You just need one Yokini bottom and one Yokini top. The “one piece” and the super low bikini are the same suit!

The Yokini suit can be worn any of these ways or somewhere in between:

Sexy – bikini
Slinky – lower bikini
Sporty – high waist
Shy – looks like a one piece
Sundown – looks like a skirt

The Yokini bottom is made to be adjusted. You may have one favorite way to wear it all the time or you may like to change it up depending upon your mood and what you’re doing.

My favorite way to wear it is Shy. The cut is very flattering and comfortable. The bottom stays in place and it really does appear to be a one piece. Since it’s two pieces, it can be adjusted for a perfect fit for women with short, average or long torsos. And 2 pieces are much easier for bathroom breaks.

The pieces are sold separately, so you can get the right fit. There are several styles for tops (Halter, Triangle, Underwire and Bandeau). If you’re wanting the Shy one-piece look, you’ll need to get the halter style so the pieces meet correctly. The other tops can be used for any of the other styles.

I love my Yokini. It’s comfortable, versatile and looks great!

You know that little rush you get when you find something fabulous? Well, when it comes to swim wear, I can tell you that I haven’t had that happen to me for quite a few years now. There is just nothing like those fluorescent lights in a fitting room dashing your hopes and proving that you need more than just a sucked in tummy to look good in a swimsuit. You can only imagine how thrilled I was to find a swimsuit that was modest without being frumpy, sleek with out being racy, and that gave ME the option of how I wanted to wear it. More coverage or less, just depending on how you decide to position the absolutely unique Yokini Swimwear Bottom (patent pending) If you haven’t seen this yet, you are going to be very surprised and happy to learn about Yokini today.

The Yokini Swimwear Bottom is the brainchild of Jackie Keehan, who lived and worked in Manhattan as a fashion buyer for Saks, J. Crew, Newport News and Bloomingdales. Jackie played a key role in putting together collections for both private label and branded merchandise. She has over 10 years experience in nearly every category in the fashion industry. In 2010, Jackie designed the Yokini Swimwear Bottom (patent pending). The Yokini gives women the freedom to micro fit the suit bottom to her unique body contour like a glove. The suit can also be adjusted to fit a particular mood or activity at the beach ranging from sexy to shy. The Yokini bottom is offered with popular top styles and wonderful array of trendy stylish fabrics.

It’s hard to just describe how great Yokini is, so take a look at this pic that shows you exactly how you can change your look without changing your suit!

You can also check out this video, and see the process in action. Isn’t that awesome? Right now, I like the shy and the sporty look. As I lose some weight…I may even go for slinky, isn’t awesome that you can choose?! It’s a snap to switch it up, and the fit on your actual backside is a flattering cut- not the wide u shape that tends to make your sit-downer look like you are ALWAYS sitting, but a clean outline that gives a little bit of a lifting illusion. I think this is an outstanding concept- I absolutely love the Yokini!

It’s something most of us dread each summer season…..swim suit shopping! It’s like going to the dentist, having your car in the shop and dealing with a cranky baby all rolled into one horrible afternoon in the mall. I need a suit with specific needs, everyone is shaped differently and all of our needs are different. Most of the suits out there today are made for women who’ve never had a child. Well things are looking up for us. Yokini Swim Wear (http://www.yokiniswimwear.com) is there to help.

I received a bathing suit from them and was totally floored about the way it fit me, I was able to cover what I wanted to cover and I didn’t look like Mrs. Frump! What I really liked is it’s throw back styling, this suit looks like it could have come right from the 1940’s! It’s the cutest suit I’ve ever owned, I really like the pin up girl look to it and the fact that you can manipulate the suit to suit your needs is really nice. Sundown, and Shy are my favorite ways to wear my Yokini . You could wear the suit every day for a week and not look the same, a fold here a tuck there and voila a new look each day. The bottoms are $64.00 and the tops (4 styles to choose from) range from $46.99 to $76.00. Look classy and sophisticated as well as sexy and modern with a bathing suit from Yokini.  Susan’s Disney Family Blog

Hello! I wanted to let you know how much I love my YOKINI. I am 6 months pregnant and wear it sporty and shy and feel 100% sexy…the other styles are great for sun bathing as well…I know you are not marketing to the maternity population but I wanted you to know how comfortable it is…the extra spandex helps keep everything tight and in place. Just awesome. Thank you so much! Diana
